Khaberni - Government Communication Minister and Government Spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani, said on Sunday that the government is in the final stages of completing the local administration law project in preparation for its approval with its necessary reasons, then sending it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau before referring it to the House of Representatives in the coming weeks.
Al-Momani added, during a press conference following a cabinet meeting held in Irbid, that the plan is to send the bill to the House of Representatives within a period ranging from two to three weeks, following the meetings held this week with various sectors, and after finalizing its drafting.
He emphasized that the local administration law is a very important law, pointing out that the government is considering recommending the convening of an extraordinary session of the National Assembly, which would allow for the discussion of the project immediately upon referral to the House of Representatives.
