Khaberni - The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has enabled pilgrims to register on the "Absher" platform and issue a digital visitor ID, for safe and easy movement within the kingdom.
The passports department clarified in a statement today, Sunday, that the digital visitor ID serves as an official accredited document, allowing pilgrims to move easily and safely during their stay in the kingdom.
It also mentioned that this ID spares its holder the necessity of carrying a paper passport while moving within the kingdom.
The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia announced, the day before yesterday, Friday, its readiness to welcome the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God.
Highlighted at various international ports, the "mobile counter" device, adopted by the General Directorate of Passports, helps facilitate the completion of procedures for the guests of the Merciful coming to perform the Hajj for the year 1447 AH.
The directorate is employing the latest technologies that contribute to achieving the highest levels of security and reliability and facilitating the Hajj journey.
The "mobile counter" helps in facilitating the completion of procedures for pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, including the elderly and persons with disabilities, by taking biometric characteristics, capturing face photos, and reading passport data smoothly and quickly without waiting.
