Khaberni - The Jordanian Customs Department demonstrated a high level of professionalism and efficiency in dealing with several quality cases where the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, in collaboration with the Customs Intelligence Directorate, managed to seize large quantities of smuggled goods, the most notable being a quantity of alcoholic beverages in two separate seizures, one of which was professionally concealed inside a water tanker specially prepared for this purpose, amounting to about 4,000 liters.
The seized items included about 60,000 liters of diesel, 4,000 cartons of cigarettes, in addition to 21 tons of chopped tobacco, along with various counterfeit goods, including 31,000 pieces of various clothing and other smuggled items.
In a related context, the Customs Clearance Center at the airport managed to seize a quantity of drugs represented by 16 kg of marijuana and 250 liters of liquid narcotics, where these seizures were coordinated and cooperated with the relevant security and regulatory authorities.
The Jordanian Customs Department affirmed its continued efforts to intensify efforts to protect the national economy and combat all forms of smuggling, and the Jordanian Customs urges citizens to cooperate and report any information through the toll-free number (105).
