Khaberni - Government Communications Minister and government spokesperson Mohammed Al-Momani, announced that the Cabinet has approved a package of systems for the development of transport services and the organization of vehicle registration and licensing, which contributes to simplifying the procedures and addressing the cases of license expiration without renewal, and easing the burden on citizens.
The Cabinet also approved the renewal of the exemption for marketing companies from the unified levy on petroleum derivatives until the end of the year.
The Council endorsed the updated energy sector strategy for 2026–2030, which targets enhancing energy supply security, increasing reliance on domestic sources, expanding renewable energy, and improving network efficiency.
The Cabinet approved an investment agreement for the production of green ammonia and green hydrogen at a cost of about one billion dollars, which enhances Aqaba's position as a regional center for clean energy, and supports the shift towards a low-carbon economy, with a value up to one billion dollars.
