Khaberni - In a new achievement that adds to the record of leadership and excellence at Amman Arab University, the university has continued to reinforce its position as a leading academic institution in supporting innovation and applied research by qualifying four outstanding student projects from the faculties of Engineering and Information Technology for the final stage of the "Launch" competition, organized by the Hussein Fund for Graduation Projects in Jordanian universities, after their selection among the best ten projects nationwide in their fields.
The qualification of these projects represents the advanced level reached by the outputs of Amman Arab University, and the ability of its students to employ theoretical knowledge in creating effective applied solutions that respond to societal needs and keep pace with contemporary challenges. From the Faculty of Engineering, the project "Sustainable Solutions from Sludge: Biodegradable Plastics, Water Purification, and Fuel Cell Integration", prepared by students Adnan Al-Ghazawi, Abdullah Abu Rabia, Ndwan Al-Qudah, Sahel Jawabreh, under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Al-Agha, as well as the project "Smart Design Strategies for Water Supply and Sanitation Systems", prepared by students Ameed Aasi, Mohammad Abu Farah, Mohammad Awad, Yazan Abu Salem, under the supervision of Dr. Omar Asad, reflect advanced engineering orientations that focus on sustainability and enhancing resource management efficiency.
Additionally, from the Faculty of Information Technology, the project "Adaptive Defense: Cyber AI, Blockchain, and Advanced Protection", prepared by students Rosa Murad and Ilham Thalji under the supervision of Dr. Walaa Al-Omari, and the project "Can You Hear Me?" prepared by students Ahmed Rashid, Hidayah Yassin, under the supervision of Dr. Kamal Aliyan, have confirmed the excellence of the faculty’s students in developing advanced digital solutions in the fields of cybersecurity and smart health technologies.
The significance of these projects lies in their ability to address strategic issues affecting vital sectors, from environment, energy, and water to cybersecurity and healthcare, reflecting a high awareness among Amman Arab University students of the priorities of sustainable development and the needs of local and regional markets. The qualifying projects are scheduled to participate in the national exhibition during the first week of next May, where the students will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations before a selection of representatives from institutions, companies, entrepreneurship centers, and investment funds, enhancing the chances of transforming these projects into entrepreneurial initiatives with tangible economic and developmental impact.
In this regard, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University, emphasized that this achievement reflects the level of excellence possessed by the faculty's students and their ability to provide innovative engineering solutions, highlighting the faculty’s commitment to supporting applied projects that enhance students' readiness for the job market. Meanwhile, Dr. Rami Sawalha, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, indicated that this qualification embodies the high efficiency of the faculty’s students in advanced technology fields, especially artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, underscoring the ongoing support for digital creativity and the development of quality projects that contribute to building a sustainable knowledge economy.
