Khaberni - The ship tracking website "Tanker Trackers" reported that a giant Iranian tanker carrying oil worth $220 million escaped the American naval blockade on Iran and has now reached Indonesian waters.
TankerTrackers' account on the platform "X" mentioned that the massive ship, carrying more than 1.9 million barrels of crude oil, escaped from American monitoring, moving through Indonesian waters.
The account wrote: "A giant oil tanker of the VLCC type, belonging to the National Iranian Oil Company (NITC), carrying more than 1.9 million barrels (valued at about $220 million) of crude oil, managed to escape from the U.S. Navy and reach the Far East."
It added: "The ship, known as 'HUGE' (identification number: 9357183), was last seen off the coast of Sri Lanka more than a week ago, and is currently moving through the Lombok Strait in Indonesia towards the Riau Archipelago."
According to maritime tracking information, the tanker has not sent Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals since March 20, when it left the Strait of Malacca headed for Iran.
