Khaberni - While Bayern Munich has clinched the German league title for themselves and other clubs like Inter in Italy, Barcelona in Spain, and Paris in France are close to clinching, seven other leagues refuse to reveal their champion, promising fans excitement until the last minute.
English League (Premier League)
With Arsenal’s victory on Saturday against their visitor Fulham, as part of the 35th round of the competition, they raised their points to 76 at the top, extending the gap to six points with Manchester City who has a match postponed in addition to their upcoming Monday match against Everton, in the same round.
This means that the two teams are in a complicated numerical race that may not be decided until the last day of the season a month from now.
Scottish League
This season witnesses an exceptional event, as Hearts threatens the continuous duopoly of Celtic and Rangers since the 1984-1985 season.
• Hearts leads the standings by 3 points ahead of Celtic and 4 points ahead of Rangers.
• There are now 4 matches remaining before the league concludes, and notably, the last round will witness a direct confrontation between Hearts and Celtic, making it effectively a “cup final” for the league title.
Austrian League
The Austrian league applies a unique system by splitting the league and halving the points.
• Standings: LASK and Sturm Graz are tied at the top with 30 points each, followed by Red Bull Salzburg with 28 points.
• Decisive matchups: There are 3 rounds remaining; Salzburg will meet Sturm Graz next week, then LASK will host Salzburg in the penultimate round, meaning the title could shift between the three up to the last moment.
Danish League
• Following an exciting goalless draw last Sunday, the struggle continues between Midtjylland and AGF.
• With 3 matches remaining, both teams are tied with 58 points each, with Midtjylland temporarily leading by goal difference.
Polish League (Ekstraklasa)
The excitement in Poland is not limited to the champion alone, but also includes the relegation struggle.
• At the top: Only 3 points separate the leader Lech Poznań and its pursuer Górnik Zabrze (who recently won against Jagiellonia).
• Despite leading, Lech Poznań has won less than half of their matches this season, making the four remaining rounds open to all possibilities, even to the fourth placed team who is 6 points behind.
Russian League
• Despite the European ban, competition locally intensifies fiercely as Krasnodar leads by only one point ahead of Zenit with 3 matches remaining.
• Krasnodar has shown remarkable resilience by losing only one out of the last 18 matches, but Zenit awaits any slip to snatch the title in the final stretch.
Hungarian League
After ETO's win against Ferencváros (coached by star Robbie Keane), the gap widened to 3 points, but it quickly closed to just one point in favor of ETO, after their recent draw with Debrecen and Ferencváros' victory over Paks, igniting the competition in the two remaining rounds.
