Khaberni - Saudi artist Abdulaziz Al-Furaihi stirred a wide wave of controversy in the art circles and social media platforms, following his fiery statements asserting his intellectual property rights to the popular series Shabab Al-Bomb, leveling clear accusations of injustice and theft.
In a video clip he posted on his official account on the "X" platform, Al-Furaihi settled the debate about the origins of the most-watched drama, pointing out that he is not just an actor in the work, but the mastermind behind its foundational details.
Al-Furaihi affirmed, saying: "I am the one who coined the name Shabab Al-Bomb, and I am the one who gave the main character the name 'Amer', and I am the one who dubbed him 'the golden boy'."
The matter did not stop at reclaiming literary rights, but Al-Furaihi also added a religious and emotional tone to his statement, commenting on the video with a very clear tone saying: "I bear witness before God that everything I have said and mentioned is true, and I am a pilgrim this year, God willing, and I will pray for you and curse those who wronged me and stole from me."
As soon as the video was widely spread on social media platforms, the audience was divided between believers and those demanding legal proof.
Meanwhile, silence still prevails among the work's production bodies regarding these direct accusations of "theft and injustice."
