South Lebanon today 11 killed in 34 Israeli raids and Hezbollah launches 7 attacks

Khaberni - Israeli occupation forces launched intensive raids on South Lebanon today, Friday, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries, while Hezbollah retaliated with 7 operations it said targeted the occupation forces.

Israeli forces carried out a total of 34 raids on towns in South Lebanon, 10 of which targeted the districts of Nabatieh, including the towns of Froun, Ghandourieh, Toul, Sowaneh, Qlaouiye, Braiqaa, Zrarieh, Yahmur Sharki, and Haboush.

The Israeli raids resulted in 11 deaths and several injuries, continuing the Israeli military escalation despite the ongoing ceasefire since April 17th.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Friday the death of 32 people and 74 injuries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total victims of the Israeli aggression to 2,618 dead and 8,094 injured.

The ministry stated in its daily report that "32 people have been martyred and 74 others were injured due to the Israeli raids in the last 24 hours," adding that "the total number of martyrs since March 2nd has risen to 2,618, and the injured to 8,094."

Meanwhile, Hezbollah stated in several statements that it launched 7 drone strikes on Israeli targets in southern Lebanon.

It clarified that the attacks included targeting 3 gatherings of soldiers in the towns of Al-Baiada and Hula, and the city of Bent Jbeil, as well as targeting a military vehicle in the town of Al-Biyada, a Hummer vehicle in Al-Taybe town, and a Merkava tank in Rshaf town with a diving drone, resulting in "confirmed hits."

Israeli losses
In turn, the Israeli army announced in a statement that two soldiers were injured in southern Lebanon following an attack with an explosive-laden drone carried out by Hezbollah.

In recent weeks, the drones launched by Hezbollah at Israeli soldiers penetrating southern Lebanon have become a significant concern for Tel Aviv, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considered them a "major threat" and called on the army to counter them.

Since March 2nd, Israel has been committing aggression against Lebanon, which has led, among other things, to the displacement of more than 1.6 million people, about 20% of the population, according to the latest official data.

Israel occupies areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades and others since the war between 2023 and 2024, and has penetrated about 10 kilometers inside the Lebanese borders during the current aggression.
