The U.S. Attorney General for the District of Columbia, Janine Veris Piero, released a video documenting the timeline of the attack on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The video, which lasts more than five minutes, shows the movements of the suspected gunman before the attack, as well as the behavior of a police dog just before the attack began.
This was stated in a post published by the Attorney General on her "X" page, where she commented: "Today we release a video previously submitted to the American District Court, showing Cole Allen firing at a Secret Service officer during his assassination attempt on the President at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. There is no evidence that the firing was a result of friendly fire."
She added: "The video also shows Allen surveying the area in the Hilton Hotel the day before the attack. My office, in collaboration with the FBI, will continue this extensive investigation to bring Cole Allen to justice."
