Khaberni - US War Secretary, Pete Hegseth, confirmed that President Trump is leading intensive diplomatic and military efforts to establish what he described as a "great deal" with Iran, ensuring American interests and ending regional threats.
Hegseth clarified that these efforts are based on Trump's vision to reshape relationships to serve the national security of the United States.
In the context of the military budget, the War Secretary emphasized that the increase in next year’s "Pentagon" budget reflects "the urgency of the current moment", asserting that this financial support is the basic guarantee for the American forces' ability to deal with complex threats.
He added that enhancing defense capabilities represents the cornerstone from which Washington approaches its regional adversaries.
On the other hand, Hegseth launched a sharp attack on the domestic opposition, considering them as "the greatest danger" facing the country today, referring to them as "defeatist Democrats".
He accused them of trying to undermine the efforts made by the administration against Tehran, which negatively affects Washington's strategic position in this critical phase.
