AlJaghbeer Values the Governments ProIndustrial Approach and Praises the Decision to Fix Factory Gas Prices

Khaberni - Praise was given by Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, the president of the Chambers of Industry of Jordan and Amman, for Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan’s efforts, valuing the proactive governmental approach in supporting the industrial sector and continuously monitoring its requirements, especially the decision to fix gas prices directed to factories in May 2026. The government undertakes the cost differences due to global price increases, which reflects a clear commitment to protect national industry and enhance its ability to continue and grow.
Al-Jaghbeer affirmed that this decision extends well-considered governmental policies, placing the industry at the heart of economic priorities, noting that fixing the gas price in this critical stage has neutralized the impact of global increases on production costs, which would have directly affected the competitiveness of Jordanian products in foreign markets.
He mentioned that the government initiative to bear the price differences represents an effective intervention to protect factories from global market fluctuations, mitigate operational burdens, ensuring production stability and export sustainability, and prevent any downturn in the competitiveness of national industries.
He emphasized that this orientation reflects a true partnership between the government and the industrial sector, boosting investors' confidence in the economic environment of the Kingdom, confirming that the quick response to industrial requirements is a crucial element in enabling it to meet external challenges.
He added that the continuation of this supportive approach would solidify the position of Jordanian industry, pushing it towards further expansion and growth, positively reflecting on the national economy and employment rates.
