Khaberni - The number of participants in the "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program, on Thursday, reached about 13,000 participants, distributed over 60 tourist routes, through 280 buses and a tour guide, coinciding with the Workers' Day holiday and the weekend.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Tourism and the program director, Ahmad Al-Rifai, said that 80% of the program's routes were fully occupied, noting that the routes cover various regions of the kingdom, according to the kingdom.
Al-Rifai added that the northern governorates and the Golden Triangle area, which includes Petra, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba, experienced increased demand, alongside significant interest in new destinations such as Iraq al-Amir and Umm ar-Rasas.
He explained that the rest of the participants were distributed among a number of tourist destinations, especially Madaba and Jerash, reflecting the diversity of the tourism product in the kingdom.
The "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program, supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, is part of efforts to stimulate domestic tourism, support local communities, and stimulate economic activity.
The program includes various components of the tourism sector, from travel and tourist transport offices to restaurants, hotels, campsites, and tourist guides, in addition to diverse tourist experiences.
The cabinet had decided to cover the cost of trips for participants in the program until December 13, 2025, in addition to exempting Jordanians from entry fees to archaeological sites, and exempting persons with disabilities from the cost of the trip.
It is noted that the program attracted about 161,000 participants during the year 2025, compared to about 310,000 participants during the year 2024.
