Turkish Intelligence Releases Document Top Secret on Khomeini

Khaberni - The Turkish intelligence agency published a document classified as "top secret" yesterday, Wednesday, regarding the late leader of the Iranian Revolution, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, which is related to his stay in Turkey for a period of time.
The document was added to the intelligence reports published on the website of the Turkish intelligence agency under the "documents" category.

The document includes an order dated November 11, 1964, signed by the head of the National Security Agency, Ziya Selishik, and sent to the Central Directorate in Istanbul with a classification of "top secret", regarding Khomeini's stay in Turkey under surveillance by the intelligence during the period between November 4, 1964, and November 5, 1965.

The document stated: "The Iranian guest arrived in Turkey, and it was decided that he would reside in the city of Bursa, and the Bursa Directorate would arrange the house in which the guest would stay, along with all other matters related to him."

The document added: "The necessary instructions were sent, both in writing and orally, to the Bursa Directorate, and the code name (Balili) will be used in all encrypted and other correspondences related to the guest."
It is worth mentioning that Khomeini, who stayed in the Turkish city of Bursa for about a year next to a family he knew, then moved from there to the Iraqi city of Najaf and stayed there for many years.

During the reign of Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Khomeini was exiled from the country in 1964 due to his opposition to the regime, and he moved between Turkey, Iraq, and France before returning to the country in 1979 with the fall of the regime.
