Khaberni - The city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are bracing during the coming May for days described as "the hardest and harshest," amid intense Israeli calls to execute unprecedented intrusions that coincide with several Jewish holidays and events.
Jerusalem affairs expert Fakhri Abu Diab expects that the coming month will be one of the most violent months that Al-Aqsa has experienced; attributing this to the Israeli organizations’ attempts to compensate for the period of closure seen by the mosque for about 40 days due to the war in the region, by mobilizing large numbers of extremists and settlers for the upcoming events, according to Al Jazeera.
Abu Diab explained that the "Temple groups" and the occupation are seeking through these intrusions to repeat attempts to impose new Judaizing realities, to consolidate Jewish presence and to completely assert sovereignty over Al-Aqsa, and to provoke the feelings of Muslims by raising Israeli flags inside the compounds.
Abu Diab pointed out that the Jewish religious and national events coincide with three Fridays of May, and are distributed as follows:
"Minor Passover"
Abu Diab mentioned that the first of May coincides with what the Jews call "Minor Passover," which came to compensate those who missed celebrating "Passover," confirming that the Israelis always try -on this day- to introduce and sacrifice offerings inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He clarified that the purpose of these offerings, which the Jews try to bring in and sacrifice, is "to indicate the actual change to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the imminent arrival of the messiah who will aid the Jews in building the third Temple on the ruins of Al-Aqsa Mosque."
"Jerusalem Day"
Moreover, Abu Diab predicted that what is called "Jerusalem Day" -on the 16th of May upcoming- will witness the most violent intrusions by extremists and settlers, marking the day the eastern part of the city of Jerusalem was occupied in 1967.
He added that this day features marches with flags piercing through the Old City towards Al-Aqsa and reaching the Western Wall, led by the "masters of intrusions" among the rabbis and Israeli ministers like Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the group they call "Religious Zionism."
"Festival of Shavuot"
As for the third occasion -which will be exploited by the settlers to storm Al-Aqsa- it is what is called "Festival of Shavuot" or "Feast of Weeks", which the Jews claim is the day the Torah was given.
He explained that during this festival, the intruders try to introduce "vegetable offerings," alluding to the Jewish claims that such offerings were brought into the Temple on this very day.
Plan to Change the "Status Quo"
The Jerusalem-based researcher confirmed that these actions are part of a systematic plan to change the status quo, supported fully by the right-wing government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that half of the current government members publicly support the idea of dividing Al-Aqsa Mosque or building the Temple on its ruins.
Abu Diab warned that the "diminished reactions from the Muslim nation" are what encourage the occupation to further encroach and violate the sanctities.
In light of these threats, Jerusalem entities and institutions have renewed calls for Palestinians to intensify their presence and hold steadfast inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings throughout May, to thwart the settlers' plans and prevent the forceful imposition of any Torah rituals in the Noble Sanctuary.
