Khaberni - Al-Nassr took another step closer to the Saudi Professional Football League title, with a precious win over Al-Ahli 2 - 0 on Wednesday in the 30th round of the championship.
Just days after Al-Ahli was crowned champions of the elite Asian Champions League for the second consecutive season, the hopes of the team coached by German Matthias Jaissle for competing for the local title were shocked by the loss to the leader Al-Nassr.
Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, scored the opening goal in the 76th minute, followed by Frenchman Kingsley Coman scoring the second goal in the 90th minute.
Al-Nassr increased their points to 79, eight points ahead of runner-up Hilal, noting that Al-Nassr has played one more match, while Al-Ahli has 66 points in sixth place.
