Khaberni - Dubai Police announced on Wednesday the arrest of more than 200 members of a cross-border fraud network, most of them from Southeast Asia, in a joint operation with the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Chinese police.
The Emirate's police said in a statement, "The Dubai Police General Command carried out the 'Tri-Force Guardian' operation in cooperation with the American Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Chinese police, which resulted in the arrest of 276 individuals."
They continued that the suspects "belong to a cross-border fraud network," adding that the operation targeted "three criminal gangs that manage nine fraud centers" operating investment schemes and virtual currency fraud operations.
