Khaberni - A senior U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) official said on Wednesday that the U.S. war on Iran has cost the United States about $25 billion so far, stating this is the first official estimate of the war costs.
Acting Comptroller Jules Herst told members of the House Armed Services Committee that most of this money was spent on ammunition.
The United States began conducting airstrikes in Iran on February 28, while both parties are currently observing a fragile ceasefire.
