Jordan is among the first countries where labor organizations emerged in the Arab world, with the Jordan Workers Union being established in 1954. It was among the unions that participated in the founding of the Arab Workers Union, with representatives of the union participating in the founding conference and in most meetings and activities at the Arab level. The Jordanian labor movement has made substantial progress over more than half a century, benefiting from positive conditions, high national spirit, constructive cooperation, and care for national properties with all development partners, which contributed to the growth and advancement of the movement and the enhancement of its achievements.
