Khaberni - Assistant Director of Public Security for Traffic Affairs, Brigadier Mohand Al-Batayneh, said on Wednesday, that the traffic crisis in the capital constitutes a source of concern for the citizen, indicating that it has several key factors including infrastructure and urban planning, in addition to the significant increase in the number of vehicles.
Al-Batayneh stated during a meeting for the Administrative Committee in the House of Notables chaired by Tawfiq Kreishan, and attended by the Director of Traffic Management, Brigadier Raed Al-Assaf, and the Executive Director of Traffic at the Greater Amman Municipality, Engineer Mohamed Jaddoua, that the number of vehicles registered in the capital exceeds 1.7 million, which puts increasing pressure on the road network.
