Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the commencement of a project to establish designated pedestrian and bicycle pathways on the left service road – Airport Road in the capital province.
The Ministry explained that the project extends along approximately 400 meters, part of its efforts to enhance traffic safety and promote active transportation, contributing to the establishment of a culture of exercise and improving the quality of life for road users.
It elaborated that the execution of the works requires the closure of part of the left service road, starting from after the Madaba Bridge to just before the Ikea – Jordan area, beginning on Saturday morning, May 2, 2026, at precisely ten o'clock, for a period estimated at about 60 days, until the completion of the works.
The Ministry confirmed that the closure will be limited to the service road parallel to the main road, thereby minimizing its impact on traffic flow, indicating that the flow of traffic on the main road will continue uninterrupted during the project implementation period.
