In 3D technology Billie Eilish collaborates with James Cameron in a new film

Khaberni - American pop star Billie Eilish collaborated with famous movie director James Cameron to release a film about her musical tour (Hit Me Hard And Soft) on the cinema screen.

Paramount Pictures will release the film "Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D)" on May 8th, a documentary co-directed by Eilish (24 years old), a multiple Grammy award winner, and Cameron (71 years old) who directed films Avatar and Titanic.

Most of the film was shot in Manchester when Eilish was at one of the stops of the global music tour that launched in 2024 and 2025, displaying Eilish's distinctive performance and the atmosphere during the successful tour as well as spontaneous moments away from the stage.

Eilish said, during the film's premiere in London last Tuesday, that Cameron provided her with a "ready-to-execute idea," adding that working with him was "an absolute dream."

She added, "This is my favorite show ever, and the favorite tour that I have been part of... I am extremely grateful to have it documented forever, with the direction in 3D as well, so that everyone who did not have the chance to see it can experience it."

For his part, Cameron said, "It (the film) delves deeper into her heart, mind, and creative spirit, and her relationship with the audience and what she means to them... I think it's very moving, in addition to the wonder of the music and the show."

Eilish mentioned that the spontaneous shots captured behind the scenes were Cameron’s idea.

This musical film is the third for Eilish, following two successful films that featured musical tours by superstars Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, topping the box office and strongly boosting the cinema's role.
