Khaberni - The students of the Thinking and Debating Club at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing the second position (tie) in the national debate championship in Jordan, after a strong performance and intense competition among participating universities, reflecting an advanced level of intellectual and dialogical skills in the team.
This achievement came after the team managed to win four out of five debates, within a wide championship that saw the participation of 30 public and private universities, and 152 male and female students from across the kingdom, adding a highly competitive character to the competitions. The team included the students: Noor Mohammad Al-Shamasneh – Cyber Security / College of Science and Information Technology, Ruaa Raed Saleh – Accounting in English / College of Business, Bayan Subhi Al-Jaafari – Pharmacy / College of Pharmacy, and Batoul Mahmoud Al-Badawi – Pharmacy / College of Pharmacy. The championship events were held over two days, on the "Zoom" platform, where participants competed in an academic and enthusiastic atmosphere that reflected their abilities in critical thinking, argument building, and dialogue management in a professional manner.
With this achievement, the Al-Zaytoonah University team qualified for the final championship to be held in Aqaba, which leads to participation in the Qatar Debating Championship, marking a new step that confirms the team's excellence and readiness to continue competing and achieving more successes at the local and regional levels.
