Khaberni - The United Nations announced that ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has decreased by 95.3% since the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.
Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, in a press conference, stated that data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development indicates that ship traffic through the Strait has decreased by 95.3% since the outbreak of the war on February 28 last year.
Dujarric added that the restrictions imposed on the Strait have led to a 6% increase in the prices of basic foodstuffs, and crude oil prices for Europe have risen by 53%.
