Arsenal competes with Paris SaintGermain and Barcelona to sign Álvarez

Khaberni -  Arsenal is interested in signing the Argentine Julian Álvarez, striker of Atlético Madrid, but it faces competition to incorporate him from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, as confirmed by Diego Simeone, coach of "Atlético".

Atlético Madrid's coach confirmed interest in the player before his team's match against Arsenal tomorrow, Wednesday, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals at the Metropolitano Stadium.

When asked about reports linking the player with a move to Arsenal, Simeone said, "I'm not aware of Julian Álvarez's thoughts".

He also said, "It's natural that a great player like Julian Álvarez would be in demand at clubs like Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona".

He added in comments conveyed by the "Sky Sports" network: "This is natural, because he is a very good player".

Álvarez has scored 48 goals in 104 matches since his transfer to the team from Manchester City for 82 million pounds, where he won the English league title for two consecutive years among them a triple season.

Álvarez (26 years old) is familiar to Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta, who had overseen the player's transfer to Atlético Madrid from City.

According to other media reports, the management of the London club has earmarked 90 million pounds to snatch "the Spider" from Madrid.
