US Official Deescalation of Iran Invasion Probability

Khaberni - As the White House announced that negotiations with Tehran are still ongoing, a U.S. military official revealed that the option of a ground invasion of Iranian territory seems less likely compared to weeks ago, according to "Reuters".

Additionally, an informed source disclosed that multiple military options are still officially on the table concerning Iran, and explained that among them are new airstrikes targeting military and political leaders in Tehran.

"Immense Pressure"
Meanwhile, a White House official described the internal pressures on the president to end the war as "immense".

One of the sources noted that Iran has taken advantage of the ongoing ceasefire to extract rocket launchers, ammunition, drones, and other equipment that had been buried due to American and Israeli bombings in the early weeks of the conflict.

It was also added that the tactical costs of resuming a full-scale war are now higher than they were in the early days of the ceasefire that began on April 8.

Hopes for ending the war and reaching an agreement between the Iranian and American sides faded after U.S. President Donald Trump, last Saturday, canceled the visit of his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Islamabad, which had been visited by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi twice in a row during the past few days, in order to convey his country's proposals for resolving the conflict.

While Pakistan continues its efforts to reach a consensus that satisfies both parties, with rising fears of the war resuming.
