What is the relationship between breakfast and the ability to overcome crises Stunning study results

Khaberni - Scientists believe that psychological resilience represents an individual's ability to reason properly and change thinking patterns calmly when facing stressful situations, commonly referred to as "composure."

In this context, a research team in the United States conducted a study to identify the factors that aid in acquiring psychological resilience, and the ability to control emotions, behaviors, and thoughts under changing circumstances.

Lena Pejdash, Assistant Professor of Health Sciences at Binghamton University, said that psychological resilience is the ability to change thinking towards a particular situation and use mental resources to overcome anxiety. The study, published in the "Journal of American College Health," highlighted a set of factors that contribute to developing these qualities in individuals.

Study details and field results
The study included 401 university students (58% of whom were female), where researchers monitored their dietary habits, sleep patterns, physical activity levels, and their use of drugs or alcohol.

The results concluded that consuming breakfast five times a week or more, along with exercising for at least 20 minutes daily, enhances the acquisition of greater psychological resilience. Conversely, the study showed that consuming fast food, staying up late, and using drugs lead to a decline in this resilience.

The researchers also proved that consuming fish oil four to five times a week is an additional helpful factor in this context.

The medical site "Health Day" reported researcher Lena Pejdash advising those who seek psychological resilience on the necessity of "eating a healthy breakfast, sleeping for at least six hours at night, and consuming sufficient amounts of fish oil, to avoid causing stress and anxiety in their daily lives."
