Khaberni - The residents of a village in the Sharqia governorate in Egypt woke up to an unprecedented theft incident.
A whole agricultural crop disappeared under mysterious circumstances, sparking anger and condemnation among the residents.
The story started when the landowner went to his field in the village of Zankalon in the center of Zagazig, only to discover that the wheat which had filled the place had completely vanished as if nothing had been planted at all.
According to his account, the area subjected to theft is about 60 carats, approximately two and a half acres, confirming that the perpetrators carried out a complete harvesting operation in a record time of no more than two hours, using tractors and agricultural equipment, before disappearing with the crop under the cover of night.
The man pointed out that the execution was done with unusual precision and speed, suggesting that what happened was not random, but the result of prior planning and precise knowledge of the land's location and the timing of the harvest, which raises the possibility of "malicious intent" or deliberate targeting.
He also mentioned that the equipment used is not widely available in the region, which might help narrow down the suspects, especially with the presence of nearby surveillance cameras expected to reveal clues about the incident.
Immediately, a record of the incident was filed, while the competent authorities began their investigations, intensifying inquiries and examining the incident site, in addition to reviewing camera recordings and hearing witness statements, in an attempt to unravel the mystery of the theft and apprehend those involved.
