Khaberni - Under the sponsorship of the Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin and the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Sanctities Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, the Royal Jordanian Airlines and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Sanctities signed a cooperation agreement aimed at providing integrated services for travelers via Royal Jordanian to and from Queen Alia International Airport, for those arriving and departing through the King Hussein Bridge.
The agreement was signed by the Deputy Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian Mr. Samer Al-Majali, and the Director General of the Hajj and Umrah Department representing the Ministry of Awqaf, Engineer Majdi Al-Batoush, in the presence of several stakeholders from various related entities.
During the meeting, Al-Majali reviewed the company’s strategy and its future plans, alongside the services it offers to travelers and its new aircraft fleet, and the special facilities it provides during the Hajj season, expressing his pride in serving the pilgrims of the Holy House of God and transporting them to the holy lands, whether they are coming by land or from various stations on board Royal Jordanian flights.
Al-Majali affirmed Royal Jordanian's commitment, as the national carrier, to support government efforts aimed at providing the best services for the pilgrims and Umrah performers, contributing to the facilitation of their travel procedures and improving their experience from arrival until departure.
On his part, the Director General of the Hajj and Umrah Department Engineer Majdi Al-Batoush stated that this agreement comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation with the national carrier to provide quality and integrated services for the pilgrims of the West Bank, noting that the ministry continuously strives to develop work mechanisms and improve the level of services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful, ensuring their comfort and smooth transport.
Under the agreement, Royal Jordanian will rent a building in the Hajj city of Ghor Tamrin to be used in providing services for travelers from the West Bank via the King Hussein Bridge, including travelers from the Arabs of 1948, the West Bank, and the Palestinian interior, for a period of five years, ensuring the provision of organized and integrated services that contribute to the smooth movement and easing of travel burdens, especially during the Hajj seasons.
