Khamaseen low hits Jordan and the region

Khaberni - The "Arab Weather" center anticipated that Jordan and the Levant area would be affected by the approach of a new Khamaseen low, in a weather condition expected to lead to a noticeable rise in temperatures, coinciding with active dusty winds in several areas.

The center noted that the temperatures will rise markedly to become higher than their usual rates, reaching about 30 degrees Celsius, and relatively hot to hot weather will prevail in various areas.

It added that the winds will be moderate southwesterly, but they will pick up during the afternoon and evening hours, and will be accompanied by strong gusts that raise dust and dirt, leading to a reduction in horizontal visibility especially in the south of the kingdom, with less severe effects in the central and northern regions.

It pointed out that the effects of the dust could also extend to North Africa and parts of the Arabian Peninsula, as part of the weather conditions associated with the expected Khamaseen low.

It affirmed that this situation reflects the spring fluctuations experienced by the region during this period of the year.

The center clarified that the temperatures will drop again, with predictions of an unstable weather condition starting from the early hours of the morning.

It mentioned the increase in cloud cover at different altitudes, with a chance of rain in some areas that may be accompanied by limited lightning and thunder, reflecting a rapid transition in the weather condition between Saturday and Sunday.
