Khaberni - A well-informed Pakistani official told "The Washington Post" on Tuesday that Iran has asked the United States to lift its blockade on Iranian ports, in exchange for Tehran reopening the Strait of Hormuz for maritime traffic.
The newspaper added that the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to share sensitive details, did not specify whether Tehran would continue to require ships to coordinate their passage with it or pay fees.
