Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs held, on Tuesday, the second round of political consultations with the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired by the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Ambassador Dhaifallah Al Fayez, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Ambassador Alexandra Papadopoulou.
The political consultations, held in Amman, discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, in addition to regional developments.
On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed with the Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis ways to enhance bilateral relations and developments in the region.
Safadi and Gerapetritis affirmed, during a telephone call, their mutual commitment to enhance the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields bilaterally, and through the trilateral cooperation mechanism with Cyprus, and within the framework of partnership with the European Union.
Safadi and Gerapetritis also emphasized the importance of the political consultations to be held today between the foreign ministries of the two countries and the necessity to build on them.
They discussed regional developments, prospects for de-escalation, and efforts made to achieve security and stability in the region.
