5 Foods That May Help Reduce Cancer Risk and Mortality

Khaberni - A specialist cancer doctor and global researcher, Dr. William Li, revealed five common foods that may enhance the body's natural defense mechanisms and help reduce the risk of cancer cell development during the "Zoe" podcast.

Li explained that the body naturally produces microscopic cancer cells, but the immune system often deals with them before they turn into serious tumors, pointing out that weakened defense mechanisms and increased inflammation are among the major factors that aid in cancer development.

He noted that chronic inflammation provides a suitable environment for the growth of abnormal cells and stated that reducing inflammation is a key factor in prevention.

According to the British newspaper "Mirror," here are the key foods mentioned by Dr. William Li:

Soybeans
Extensive studies have shown that regular consumption may be linked to a reduced risk of breast cancer mortality, thanks to its content of beneficial plant proteins.

Tomatoes
Contain the antioxidant compound "lycopene," which helps reduce the growth of some cancer cells, especially in the prostate.

Apples
Rich in plant compounds and fibers that reduce inflammation and enhance the health of the gut microbiome.

All types of berries
Such as blueberries and strawberries; contain "anthocyanins" which protect cells from damage and improve heart health.

Tea and coffee
Both contain polyphenolic compounds that help reduce inflammation and support immunity, especially green tea and matcha.

The researcher emphasized that these foods do not "treat cancer" in and of themselves, but they do contribute to supporting the body and enhancing its defensive capacity when included in a healthy and balanced diet.
