Khaberni - Under the sponsorship of the Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Qatamin and the Minister of Waqf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh, Royal Jordanian Airlines and the Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs signed a cooperation agreement aimed at providing integrated services to travelers via Royal Jordanian to and from Queen Alia International Airport, for those arriving and departing via King Hussein Bridge.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Jordanian, Engineer Samer Majali, and the General Director of the Hajj and Umrah Department representing the Ministry of Waqfs, Engineer Majdi Batoush, in the presence of a number of stakeholders from various related parties.
During the meeting, Majali reviewed the company's strategy and future plans, alongside the services it provides to travelers and its new aircraft fleet, as well as the special facilities provided during the Hajj season, expressing his pride in serving the pilgrims of the Holy House of God and transporting them to the holy lands, whether arriving in the country by land or from various stations on board Royal Jordanian flights.
Majali affirmed Royal Jordanian's commitment, as the national carrier, to support government efforts aimed at providing the best services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, contributing to facilitating their travel procedures and enhancing their experience from arrival until departure.
On his part, the General Director of the Hajj and Umrah Department, Engineer Majdi Batoush, stated that this agreement comes in the framework of enhancing cooperation with the national carrier to provide quality and comprehensive services to West Bank pilgrims, noting that the ministry continuously strives to develop work mechanisms and improve the level of services offered to the guests of the Merciful, ensuring their comfort and smooth mobility.
Under the agreement, Royal Jordanian will rent a building inside Ghor Tamrin Pilgrim City to use it in providing services to travelers from the West Bank via King Hussein Bridge, including travelers from the 1948 Arabs, the West Bank, and the Palestinian interior, for a duration of five years, ensuring the provision of organized and comprehensive services that contribute to the smooth flow of movement and the reduction of travel burdens, especially during the Hajj seasons.
