The Occupation Arrests and Conducts Field Investigations with 140 Palestinians from the West Bank over Two Days

Khaberni - The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated, on Tuesday, that the Israeli occupation forces arrested and conducted field investigations over two days with about 140 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, among them women and children, in addition to former prisoners.

The club explained in a statement that the arrests were spread across the majority of the West Bank governorates, including Jerusalem, and were primarily concentrated in the towns of Al-Ram, Kafr Aqab, Adh Dhahiriya, and Qalandiya camp. These areas witnessed extensive aggression that lasted for hours, and most of the detainees were later released.

The club confirmed that field investigations are the most prominent policy used by the occupation during invasions, as part of collective revenge operations targeting all segments of Palestinian society, affecting thousands of Palestinians since the beginning of the genocide, and noted that the torture accompanying the field investigations is on par with that which accompanies actual arrests.

It pointed out a series of crimes and violations that consistently accompanied the arrest operations, including severe beating, organized terror against detainees and their families, alongside extensive destruction and damage to Palestinian homes, and the seizure of vehicles, money, and gold jewelry. Additionally, the destruction of infrastructure, demolition of families of prisoners' homes, using family members as hostages, using detainees as human shields, carrying out field executions, and exploiting the arrests to expand settlements in the West Bank, supported by settlers.

The Prisoners Club reiterated that the current crimes of the occupation are a continuation of its long-standing approach, over decades, to target the Palestinian presence and impose more tools of oppression, control, and surveillance. However, the only change since the beginning of the war of genocide is the level of intensity of these crimes.

The club emphasized that the occupation authorities are continuing their systematic arrest operations, historically one of the most consistent policies, executed daily against citizens, with the number of arrest cases in the West Bank reaching more than 23,000 since the beginning of the genocide.
