Khaberni - Pharmacy students at Amman Al-Ahli University participated in the youth dialogue event which was held under the title "From Awareness to Action: A National Partnership to Support the Implementation Program for the Cleanliness Strategy and the Reduction of Random Waste Disposal", hosted by Al Hussein City for Youth, organized by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The forum was attended by high-level officials including the Minister of Environment Dr. Ayman Sulaiman, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Imad Hijazin, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Jordan Ms. Randa Abu Al-Hassan, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth Dr. Mazen Abu Baker, and the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment Dr. Mohammad Afana, along with a group of young leaders and environmental activists.
The meeting discussed the main pillars of the national strategy's implementation program, focusing on analyzing behaviors associated with random waste disposal, developing practical solutions to address these behaviors, enhancing infrastructure by distributing bins and creating recycling points, and improving the efficiency of logistics operations for waste collection and transport.
The forum also included interactive sessions focused on innovation and the use of modern technology, where participating students, including those from Amman Al-Ahli Pharmacy, provided creative insights and practical suggestions for using artificial intelligence tools in monitoring pollution causes, developing smart preventive solutions, and measuring the environmental impact of initiatives to ensure their sustainability.
This participation reflects Amman Al-Ahli University's commitment to enhancing its students' involvement in national issues, and enabling them to apply their academic knowledge in providing innovative solutions that serve the community and contribute to sustainable development.
