With 100 chefs and 3000 eggs London sets the record for the worlds longest tiramisu

Khaberni - From London, 100 Italian chefs have broken the world record for the longest tiramisu, after preparing a dessert 440.6 meters (1445 feet) long, surpassing the previous record, which was 273.5 meters (897 feet) set in Milan.

The attempt took place over last Saturday and Sunday at Chelsea Town Hall, where the tiramisu was completely prepared and assembled on site following the Guinness World Records guidelines, using 50 thousand ladyfinger biscuits and more than 3,000 eggs, according to "BBC".

The achievement was led by Mirco Ricci, who first set the record in this category in 2017, before losing it to another Italian team in 2019, only to reclaim it today from London.

Italy's finest desserts
Ricci described the tiramisu as "one of the finest desserts exported from Italy," noting that choosing the United Kingdom to host the attempt was intended as a thank-you message to the country, while the giant dessert was given a celebratory character as it was adorned with a golden crown in honor of the King and the British royal family.

Ricci, after setting the new record, said that the achievement was not individual but the result of a collective effort involving dozens of chefs over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Chef Carmelo Carnevale explained that the conditions for breaking the record required that the tiramisu be no less than 8 centimeters (3.15 inches) high and no less than 15 centimeters (5.9 inches) wide.

About the secret to making the perfect tiramisu, Carnevale said the recipe starts with "excellent coffee, firm and delicious cream, and a lot of passion."
