Saudi Arabia The influx of Iranian pilgrims for the 1447 Hajj season begins

Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that Iranian pilgrims have begun to arrive in the Kingdom by air, this Saturday morning, with their arrival by land beginning from Sunday.

This comes as part of the intense preparations for the 1447 Hajj season, where relevant authorities are providing comprehensive services to ensure that the guests of the Most Merciful can perform their rituals with ease and convenience.

In this context, the Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajil, inspected several health facilities in Mecca to review their readiness and preparedness to provide healthcare to the pilgrims.

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, emphasized that "the leadership's directives stress the provision of the best services for the guests of the Most Merciful, and the care for the Holy Mosques and their visitors, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030."

The Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, directed last Tuesday to mobilize all capabilities and resources to ensure the success of the regulatory, security, and preventive plans approved for this year's Hajj season.

Last Saturday, the first groups of pilgrims for this year's Hajj season arrived, including 400 pilgrims from Bangladesh, where they were received by the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah.

Al-Jasser said: "These pilgrims are among the beneficiaries of the Makkah Road Initiative, which allows pilgrims to complete all their entry procedures to Saudi Arabia from their home country's airports."

The procedures include visa issuance, verification of health conditions, and baggage coding and sorting, ensuring their direct transition to their accommodation upon arrival without waiting.

Last season, according to official data, Saudi Arabia welcomed 1.67 million pilgrims, of which 1.5 million came from outside the Kingdom through various ports. Out of these, 1.43 million arrived via air, 66,000 through land ports, and 5,094 pilgrims were received through sea ports.
