Gulf Condemnation of the Armed Attack Targeting Trump

Khaberni - The UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar condemned today, Sunday, the attack that targeted US President Donald Trump during the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner at a hotel in the US capital, Washington.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release, "the UAE stands in solidarity with the President of the United States and his family, and the government and people of the United States," expressing "strong condemnation of these criminal acts" and reiterating its "permanent rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism that aim to undermine security and stability."

On its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, condemned the attack and all forms of violence and terrorism, confirming the solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the United States and the American people.

Manama also praised the efficiency of the US President's security and protection team, which managed to thwart the attempt and arrest the attacker.


Furthermore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia denounced the shooting incident that targeted a party attended by US President Donald Trump.

The kingdom stated in a Ministry of Foreign Affairs' release, confirming their solidarity with the United States, confirming their rejection of all forms of violence.

Kuwait also expressed its condemnation of the attack, reaffirming its solidarity with the government and people of the United States, and renewing its position rejecting all forms of violence.

The State of Qatar issued a statement condemning and denouncing the shooting incident, renewing its absolute rejection of all forms of violence and criminal acts, regardless of their motives.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Doha's full solidarity with the United States, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, and emphasizing its firm position supporting security and stability.

An armed individual attempted to storm the White House Correspondents' Association dinner held at the "Washington Hilton" hotel, Saturday evening, after opening fire on security personnel, but members of the American Secret Service managed to stop him and hurriedly evacuate President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, and his deputy, JD Vance.

A federal investigation official told "Reuters" that the gunman fired at one of the Secret Service members.

About two hours after the incident, Trump told reporters at the White House that the security member survived thanks to his bulletproof vest, stating he is "in good condition."

Trump described the attacker as a "sick person," praising the performance of the Secret Service and law enforcement agencies, and ruling out any connection of Iran to the attack based on preliminary investigations indicating that the attacker acted alone.
