Saudi Arabia signs an educational program to support Gaza children through field schools

Saudi Arabia signed a joint executive program to support the continuity of education in crisis areas. The program targets the provision of safe educational environments and psychological support for children affected by educational disruption in the Gaza Strip, in order to mitigate the effects of the current conditions on the educational process.

 

A Program to Support Education Affected by Crises

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre – through video communication – yesterday signed a joint executive program with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, to establish and operate safe educational spaces (field schools), in addition to providing psychological and social support services to children affected by education interruption in the Gaza Strip, benefiting 1000 male and female students.

Representing both sides in the signing were Assistant Supervisor General of the Centre for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beiz, and President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, Dr. Essam Fathi Abu Khalil.

 

Enhancing the Educational Environment

The program aims to provide a safe and motivating educational environment that supports the continuity of education and improves study conditions for children, contributing to the restoration of their educational path and reducing the gaps resulting from the interruption.

This comes as part of the continuous efforts exerted by the Kingdom through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, to meet the educational and psychological needs of affected communities, and to enhance the quality of life in the Gaza Strip.
