Khaberni – The on-duty general surgery team at Princess Basma Hospital managed early this Monday morning to save the life of a young man in his twenties who arrived at the hospital in a coma and hemorrhagic shock.
The young man underwent an emergency laparotomy, which revealed a ruptured spleen. A surgical splenectomy was performed, along with stopping the severe bleeding.
The operation was overseen by the general surgery consultant Dr. Najeh Al-Khaldi, and involved surgery specialists Dr. Yaser Al-Qudah and Dr. Adnan Maqdadi, as well as the anaesthesia and intensive care specialist Dr. Sohaib Al-Bakar, along with the on-duty staff of nurses and technicians.
In turn, the hospital director Dr. Walid Hamza Al-Halabi thanked the supervising staff for the operation, appreciating their efforts in saving the young man’s life.
