Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing completed the maintenance and expansion project of part of the Umm Al Rassas road connected to the desert road in the capital governorate, before the end of the contract period.
The construction work, which extended over a distance of 1.100 km, included milling the deteriorated asphalt layers and replacing them with new ones, in addition to enhancing the road with ground reflectors, paints, and necessary guidance and warning signs to improve traffic safety.
The ministry had started the implementation at the end of March this year, reflecting the efficiency in managing the project's schedule financed by the budget of the Capital Governorate Council (decentralization) and supervised by the South Amman Works Office belonging to the Capital Works Directorate.
This project falls within the framework of the ministry's regular plans aimed at rehabilitating infrastructure and ensuring its sustainability, striving to provide safe mobility for citizens and enhance the efficiency of the vital road network in various regions of the kingdom in line with international standards of public safety.
