These include projects (Hussein Bin Abdullah II Stadium, the International Center for Exhibitions and Conferences, the Entertainment City, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Sports City, and the project for preparing the master plan and infrastructure for Umrah City project, in addition to projects that will be added later).
In the context of supporting economic activities in the special economic zone of Aqaba, the cabinet decided to approve the decision of the Board of Commissioners of the Authority, which includes launching a package of exemptions and reductions on building and land tax in Aqaba.
This decision continues the government efforts aimed at supporting economic activities, stimulating investment, and enhancing the competitiveness of the investment environment in the province.
The incentives include a 50% reduction on building and land taxes for the previous years until 2026, provided that all due debts are paid before the date of 31/7/2026, in addition to a 100% exemption from the penalties incurred on building and land taxes for taxpayers who settle the principal of the due tax before the end of the year 2026.
These incentives are expected to alleviate the financial burdens on citizens and investors, stimulate economic and real estate activity, and enable taxpayers to settle their financial status; supporting the sustainability of economic activity and providing a more flexible and attractive investment environment in Aqaba.
These incentives will be implemented from the date this decision is issued until the date of 31/12/2026, according to the regulations and procedures established by the authority.
