Signing of 4 Agreements to Support Local Cooperatives

Khaberni  - The Jordan Cooperative Corporation, represented by its General Director Abdel Fattah Al-Shalabi, today, Sunday, in partnership with "Fal" for Consulting and Administrative Services, represented by its Regional Director Engineer Lamia Al-Dabbas, and the Integrated Company for Mobile Payment "Dinarek", represented by its CEO Engineer Imad Al Ayyun, signed 4 support agreements with local cooperatives.

The agreements included: the Upscale Taste Women's Cooperative represented by the Association's President, the Jordan Agricultural Dates Cooperative, the Kafr Sum Agricultural Cooperative, and the Women Towards the Summit Cooperative.

Al-Shalabi confirmed to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) the importance of the partnership between the Corporation and the "Fal" company in supporting cooperatives, noting that the signing of 4 agreements aims to provide digital financial services by encouraging farmers and owners of home and small projects through the establishment of revolving loans.

He said that "the cooperatives", through their productive and economic projects, contribute to the developmental process and solving the problems of poverty and unemployment, especially in peripheral areas.

For her part, the president of the Upscale Taste Cooperative, Abla Bani Mafarj, appreciated the cooperative’s efforts in signing the agreements, which represent a new start for new projects, and give hope to women in improving their economic status through providing financial support to female farmers, which benefits the community as a whole.

In turn, the president of the Jordan Dates Cooperative, Raed Al-Sayyida, stated that the agreement will contribute to supporting farmers using water-saving technologies, by providing them with such loans, which reflects on both the quality and quantity of production, especially since the cooperative owns an AI-operated packaging and sorting facility that can sort 15 tons of dates daily with high accuracy and quality considering food safety standards.

The president of the Kafr Sum Cooperative, Engineer Ahed Obaidat, said that the agreement will support farmers in the area of water management and the transition to modern irrigation, which consequently saves irrigation water quantities, effort, and time for farmers, contributing to the development and improvement of production.

For her part, the president of the Women Towards the Summit Cooperative, Sabah Shdeifat, explained that the agreement will contribute to empowering female farmers, increasing the number of female and male borrowers, which increases the number of projects and their diversity, and provides new job opportunities to the local community's sons and daughters.

It is noted that the Jordan Cooperative Corporation is an official institution established in 1997, has a corporate personality with financial and administrative independence, owns movable and immovable property, conducts all legal transactions including signing contracts, accepting gifts and donations, and has branches in all governorates.
