Khaberni - The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a charitable activity in cooperation with the Charity Clothing Bank, as part of promoting social responsibility and instilling the values of solidarity and cooperation among members of the university community.
The event saw broad participation from students across various disciplines, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and other college employees, in addition to a number of university students. Clothes donations were collected through boxes designed and prepared by the college students, reflecting the spirit of initiative and teamwork.
The college's Community Service Committee followed up on implementing the activity and supervised all its stages, where after the boxes were filled, all donations were emptied and transported by the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Organization staff, in preparation for distribution to needy families benefiting from the bank’s services.
The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Professor Dr. Fouad Al-Qarm, confirmed that this activity aligns with the university’s mission in community service and enhancing humanitarian work, highlighting the importance of involving students in volunteer initiatives that develop values of giving, belonging, and social responsibility. He added that the faculty continually strives to support activities that serve needy groups and reinforce the culture of charitable work among students.
The activity was organized by Dr. Bassem Al-Obaidi, head of the Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, who valued the participants' interaction and their significant turnout, affirming that the success of the initiative reflects the university family's awareness and eagerness to contribute to community service.
