Khaberni - The Faculty of Arts at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, in cooperation with the English Language Department and the English Corner, organized a free writing competition in English, covering the areas of short stories, poetry, and essay writing. The event targeted students from various faculties, organized and supervised by Dr. Maha Al-Qadi.
The competition saw wide participation from students of the faculties of Arts, Business, Nursing, Science, Engineering, and Physical Therapy, in a competitive atmosphere that reflected the students' interest in developing their linguistic and creative skills, and their ability to express themselves in English confidently and competently.
The organization of this event comes as part of the Faculty of Arts' commitment to enhancing writing and communication skills in English among students, and encouraging them to employ the language in literary and intellectual expression, which contributes to the development of their academic and personal capabilities.
Dr. Maha Al-Qadi emphasized that the development of language skills is a fundamental part of learning outcomes, due to their significant importance in preparing students for the job market and enabling them to compete in professional environments that require high proficiency in communication and the use of English.
The competition also provided students with the opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of creative writing and showcase their literary talents, which enhances their spirit of initiative and excellence.
