Khaberni - His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq received, on Sunday, at Al Barakah Palace, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, according to the Omani News Agency.
They consulted about the developments in the region, mediation efforts, and initiatives aimed at ending conflicts.
His Majesty the Sultan was briefed on the Iranian side's views regarding these developments, while Araghchi listened to His Majesty’s insights about ways to enhance these efforts, thereby increasing the chances of reaching sustainable political solutions and reducing the impact of crises on the peoples of the region.
His Majesty the Sultan affirmed the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in addressing issues, as this contributes to laying the groundwork for peace.
Araghchi expressed his country’s appreciation for the positions of the Sultanate of Oman, under His Majesty's leadership, in supporting dialogue efforts and enhancing the pursuits of security and stability in the region, especially in light of current regional challenges.
