Khaberni - While the shock still dominates the Jordanian street, new details gradually unfold about the Al-Karak crime that killed three children, in an incident that shook public opinion and opened wide doors to questions about what could drive a father, described as behaviorally sound, to commit such an act of cruelty.
Testimonies from those close to the perpetrator indicate that his life did not show any clear signs of deviation, as he was known not to use any drugs or mind-altering substances, nor was he a smoker, which made the crime even more shocking, especially for those who knew him closely and interacted with him over the years.
Martial conflicts accumulated in silence
According to the circulated information, the background of the crime is due to complex marital disputes that lasted between the father and his wife, who works as a teacher in Al-Karak governorate, as she had been seeking to move to the capital, Amman, hoping to improve her professional and family life conditions.
Close ones confirmed that the last contact with the perpetrator was about two months ago, and at that time, he clearly appeared affected by the ongoing disputes, relying on his wife’s move to Amman as a potential solution to bring stability back to his family life. He even talked about his intentions to buy an apartment there and start a new chapter.
However, those attempts were fruitless, and over time, the accumulated psychological pressures turned into a state of internal exhaustion, described by some as "burnout," a condition that might push a person to unexpected behaviors under constant stress.
From the hope of stability to the moment of explosion
The information indicates that the perpetrator was experiencing acute tension due to the accumulation of disputes, and despite his previous attempts to contain the situation, things went contrary to his wishes, ultimately leading to a complete breakdown.
Instead of achieving the stability he was aiming for, those pressures turned into shocking criminal behavior, where he lured his three children to a farm owned by one of his relatives in the area west of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi and there, the crime occurred using a sharp weapon.
The matter did not stop there; he documented the crime and sent the pictures to their mother via WhatsApp, in a behavior that reflects a severe state of turmoil and disconnection from reality, before he fled the site, leaving behind one of the most cruel and mysterious crimes.
Official details from the Public Security
For its part, the General Security Directorate confirmed that a report was received at the Karak Police Directorate indicating that a person had killed his children inside a farm in the governorate, and security forces immediately moved to the site.
The preliminary investigations revealed that the bodies of three children, aged 10, 7, and 5 years, were found, having died due to stabbing with a sharp weapon, necessitating a comprehensive investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
The Directorate also confirmed that the Criminal Investigation and Karak Police teams intensified their efforts to pursue the perpetrator, before they succeeded in arresting him within hours inside the governorate, where the crime tool, a knife, was seized.
The spokesperson indicated that investigations would proceed in preparation for referring him to the judiciary to take the necessary legal actions against him.
