Death of the artist Ahmed Khalifa in Damascus

Khaberni - The actor Ahmed Khalifa passed away from our world at the age of 81 in Damascus, after a long artistic career that lasted for more than half a century, leaving a distinctive presence in Syrian drama.

The Syrian Artists' Union, Damascus branch, announced the death of the Syrian star artist in a brief statement, mourning one of the most prominent faces in the memory of the Syrian screen. Although he was not always assigned the main characters, he was able through his simple roles to enhance the value of the works he participated in.

The stars widely interacted with the sad news, and star Mohammad Khair Al-Jarrah made sure to mourn the deceased and wrote "Farewell Ahmed Khalifa, the great artist in God's mercy. With great sadness, I extend my deepest condolences to his noble family and to his friends and fans and the Syrian and Arab artistic community. The original deceased holds a special place in my heart. May God have mercy on him and bless his remains."

It is mentioned that the star Ahmed Khalifa began his career in the 1960s, and participated in national theatrical works such as "A Summer Party for June 5", "The Optimistic Tragedy", and "Al-Sa’ad". He also participated in the film "Fadak Ya Palestine" in 1970, and "My Wife from the Hippies". Throughout his artistic career, he moved between theater and television and participated in more than 140 series, including "Al-Khawali", "Layali Al-Salhiya", "Jameel and Hana Diaries", and "Bab Al-Hara", "Bayt Jaddi", "Ahl Al-Raya", and many other distinctive and successful artistic and dramatic works.

In addition to acting, he wrote and directed, and was precise in the Damascene dialect in the works of the Damascus environment, to maintain the integrity of the language and the old details to preserve the identity and memory.
