Shocking Details Revealed by Forensic Medicine in AlKarak Crime

Khaberni - As the shock still dominates the Jordanian street, new and shocking details are emerging about the Al-Karak crime that resulted in the death of three children, amid widespread questions about what happened inside this family before reaching this tragic end that shook public opinion.

Autopsy results reveal the severity of what happened

The autopsy results of the three children who were killed by their father in the governorate of Al-Karak revealed that each of them suffered between six to seven stab wounds, concentrated in the areas of the neck, chest, and abdomen, in a scene that reflects the magnitude of the violence that accompanied the crime.

The autopsy took about four hours and was carried out by a specialized team including Dr. Osama Al-Bastanji, Dr. Ala' Al-Bawat, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh, in the presence of the public prosecutor of Al-Karak, showing that the fatal injuries were in the thoracic and abdominal cavities due to severe bleeding caused by penetrating stab wounds using a kitchen knife, along with injuries in the neck area.

Details from the investigation and initial motives

A source close to the investigation indicated that the crime was the result of serious disputes between the father and his ex-wife, particularly regarding alimony, where he committed the crime out of revenge, and then sent a video clip to the mother documenting what happened.

The bodies were discovered inside a room under construction in a farm, after a report was received by the security forces, which immediately moved to the location, and the civil defense managed to open the door, finding the children had passed away.

Psychological background and accumulated disputes

Testimonies from people close to the perpetrator confirmed that he was not known for deviant behavior, as he did not have a history of drug or mental influences use, nor was he a smoker, which made what happened hugely shocking to those who knew him.

According to the information, the perpetrator was experiencing complex marital conflicts with his wife, who works as a teacher in Al-Karak, and was aiming to move to Amman, hoping to improve her living conditions, which he saw as a step towards family stability.

Close contacts confirmed that their last communication with him was about two months ago when he appeared clearly affected by these disputes, talking about plans to buy an apartment in Amman and start a new life, but these plans did not come to fruition.

Over time, the accumulated psychological pressures turned into a state of internal exhaustion, known as burnout, a condition that could lead to unexpected behaviors amidst continued tension.

The information indicates that the perpetrator reached an advanced stage of tension, ending in a complete collapse, where he lured his children to a farm owned by one of his relatives in the area of West Al-Mazar, and committed his crime using a sharp tool.

He did not stop there; he documented the crime and sent it to their mother via WhatsApp, in an act that reflects severe psychological disturbance, before fleeing from the scene.

Rapid security response and the arrest of the perpetrator

The General Security Directorate confirmed in an official statement that a report was received by the Al-Karak police directorate about the incident, where specialized teams immediately moved, and an extensive investigation into the circumstances of the crime was opened.

It also noted that the criminal investigation teams and Al-Karak police intensified their search efforts, and within hours managed to arrest the father inside the governorate, and seized the crime tool, a knife, in preparation to complete the investigations and refer him to the public prosecutor of major crimes.

Similar crimes bring the debate back

This incident is not the first of its kind, as the kingdom had previously witnessed crimes committed by fathers against their children motivated by revenge, where a father who killed his daughter in South Amman was executed in 2024, and in October 2025, a court sentenced a father to 30 years imprisonment after he threw his two children into the Zerqa stream.

These cases renew the debate on the need to intensify monitoring and early handling of sharp family disputes, before they evolve into horrific crimes.

Eternal questions

Despite the clarity of the security details, the deep psychological motives still raise questions, particularly in the absence of clear risk indicators in the perpetrator's prior behavior.

This crime highlights the importance of psychological support within the family, and the necessity for channels of dialogue and treatment, to avoid reaching dangerous stages that might get out of control and lead to catastrophic results.
